Parma 2020: live streaming of the 18 winners of the "open call" on Monday 5

Monday May 18, on the occasion of the International Museum Day this year dedicated to "Museums for equality: diversity and inclusion", the five winners di Culture for all, culture of alli,open call di Parma Italian Capital of Culture 2020, promoted with the support of the Municipality of Parma and the Institute for the artistic, cultural and natural heritage of the Emilia-Romagna Region, which aims to make the museum system more contemporary and above all accessible to all. 

Candidates were asked to propose ideas, products, events and services, conceived from a digital and multicultural perspective, capable of opening the doors of regional museums to particular categories of public such as young people, families, the elderly, people with physical or cognitive disabilities, foreigners and residents. 

From September 2019 to February 2020 interested parties had the opportunity to present their projects, for a total of 43, which were examined by a Technical Commission, also in light of their ability to be economically sustainable on the market and compliance with the directives of the design 4all, that is, accessible to the largest number of subjects, differing from each other in terms of perceptive, motor and cognitive abilities. The five winners chosen by the Commission will receive a cash prize ranging from 5.000 euros for the first place to 1.000 euros for the fifth.

The announcement will be made Monday May 18   17 live streaming on the Parma2020 Facebook page, YouTube channel and website with the participation of the five winners and Michael War, Councilor for Culture of the Municipality of Parma, Robert Balzani, President of the Institute for the artistic, cultural and natural heritage of the Emilia-Romagna Region, Francesca Velani, coordinator of cultural projects and strategies of Parma2020 e Flora Raffa Director of the Youth Culture and Strategic Development Sector of the Municipality of Parma. 

The award ceremony will also be an opportunity to unveil the next steps, in 2020 and 2021, of the Parma Italian Capital of Culture project, which will affect all cultural operators in the region.
