Equal opportunities: the seventh edition of "Women Value Company - Intesa Sanpaolo" kicks off, which rewards gender equality

Intesa Sanpaolo e Marisa Bellisario Foundation they launched the VII edition of the prize “Women Value Company – Intesa Sanpaolo”. The initiative aims to reward the pmi which implement concrete and innovative policies in favor of equal opportunities, female talent and corporate welfare.

Il notice of participation, which opens today, is aimed at small and medium-sized public and private enterprises that have recorded good performances in consideration of the particular economic and social situation and that have implemented at least one of the following activities: family/work conciliation services; innovative corporate welfare initiatives to guarantee employees serene management of their time in the company; flexible work organization policies; non-discriminatory merit pay policies; plans for the development and enhancement of female skills and careers, with the presence of women in managerial or top positions; actions in favor of the culture of gender diversity.

"Women Value Company - Intesa Sanpaolo": how to apply

Companies that meet one or more requirements set out in the call for participation can apply by completing the online questionnaire made available on the website by 20 April 2023. Intesa Sanpaolo website – Business section, or on the website of Marisa Bellisario Foundation.

Le two winning companies one small and one medium sized, will receive the special “Golden Apple”. The announcement will take place during the award ceremony of the XXXV edition of Marisa Bellisario Award, broadcast on Rai1 on 17 June. The Bank will assign the "Women Value Company 2023 - Intesa Sanpaolo" award to all the finalist companies during one or more celebration events. Special mentions will also be awarded in line with the themes of the PNRR of innovation, social and internationalization.

For the seventh consecutive year we will have the privilege of speaking together with the Marisa Bellisario Foundation stories of talent and sustainable and inclusive businesses, who have identified the greater presence of women in the world of work and at the helm of companies as an effective response to the complexities of this economic and social phase. A legacy of experiences and best practices from which to draw and be inspired, in a forward-looking vision that we hope will contaminate the entire productive fabric. Intesa Sanpaolo confirms its commitment to female empowerment by financially supporting working mothers and trusting female entrepreneurs. The 500 million euro plafond put in place promotes the creation and development of female-led businesses and facilitates access to the measures of the PNRR. Equally important is the diffusion of an entrepreneurial culture among women and the actions to encourage the younger ones towards study paths in STEM subjects" she commented Virginia Borla, Head of People, Business Development & Control Management of Intesa Sanpaolo.

Previous editions

In the previous six editions, over 4.000 participating companies took part, distributed throughout the Italian territory, 600 finalist companies who were able to tell their story in 14 meetings, 12 "Golden Apples" awarded for the excellence of the policies implemented in favor of gender equality.

The project is part of Gruppo Intesa's commitment to promoting the inclusion and role of women in the world of work. The Bank has made available a ceiling of 500 million euro, through an S-Loan, to support the launch and strengthening of female entrepreneurship and maximize the contribution of women to the economic and social development of the country.
