After monthly bulletin of the ECB which sees "weak economic growth" for the euro area, the OECD also states that the prospects for improvement in advanced countries continue to worsen. The verdict is given together with the value of the forecast super index of the OECD which in June recorded a new drop of 0,05% compared to the previous month and of 0,29% compared to June 2011.
The weakening is even more marked in Italy. The results of the Composite leading indicators (Cli) conclude that the super-index for the peninsula recorded -0,07% on the month and -2,55% on the year reaching 98,9 points. This is the decline on an annual basis strongest among the countries listed.
In 'euro area the super index recorded -0,10% on month and -1,64% on year a 99,4 points. The two indices of Germany (99,3) are better than the Italian one and France (99,5). Positive the data for the United States: despite the -0,11% cyclical trend, on an annual basis the index recorded +0,45%.
"In China, India and Russia the Clis continue to point to a slowdown. In Brazil Cli's points indicate a more moderate recovery in economic activity compared to last month's assessment”.
