Employment, Unioncamere: "There are 65 people who cannot be found"

Strange, but true: in the midst of the employment crisis there are still cases of serious difficulties of the production system in finding some so-called "untraceable" professional figures. This was confirmed by an in-depth analysis of the annual analysis of the Excelsior information system of Unioncamere and the Ministry of Labour, presented in Verona on the occasion of Job&Orienta.

The "palm" of the most unobtainable belongs to IT designers in Lombardy (9 out of 10 are difficult to find), plumbing and heating engineers in Lazio and non-seasonal waiters in Trentino Alto Adige. And even if the share of "untraceable" people has decreased compared to last year, settling at 65 thousand units (or 16,1% of non-seasonal hirings envisaged by businesses), this paradox persists: at a time when unemployment assumes the scope of an emergency for the country some jobs remain vacant because suitable candidates cannot be found.

According to the general secretary of Unioncamere Claudio Gagliardi it is a question of "a paradox which makes it increasingly urgent to intervene with a change of pace in the world of education: an extraordinary effort is needed to offer all young people the possibility of getting to know the world of enterprise and, at the same time, make companies appreciate their talent. Ultimately, it is also necessary to systematically organize completely integrated in-company learning paths in Italy too”.
