The new Btp to 15 years launched this morning by the Italian Treasury through a syndicate of banks will be from 8 billion and will offer a yield in area 1,67-1,68%, 10 basis points above the current benchmark. The final amount of orders is equal to 16,5 billion.
Yesterday some operators assumed a yield in the 1,60% area, since the rate on the 2030 BTP was around 1,54%. On the other hand, today's issue is two years longer than the 2030 BTP, which the Treasury auctioned in February at 1,68%, the all-time low.
The syndicate of banks consisted of Barclays, Credit Agricole, Goldman Sachs, MPS Capital Services Banca per le Imprese and the Royal Bank of Scotland.
