“I am sure that Atlante will intervene on the sufferings of Monte dei Paschi”. This was stated by the managing director of Intesa Sanpaolo, Carlo Messina, questioned on the sidelines of the ABI meeting.
"Work is underway on Atlante2", added Messina, recalling however that Intesa will not be in the game: "We have already committed 850 million in addition to the 600 paid for the resolution of the four banks, numbers which testify to Intesa's commitment to the system".
Meanwhile, after the storm of the last few sessions, the MPS share on the Stock Exchange is once again extremely volatile: at the opening it came to lose another 2,6%, but by mid-morning it was up by 3 percent.
