Maneuver, less precarious work and goodbye to maxi-adjustments in the bill

A government amendment will correct the rules on fixed-term employment contracts envisaged by the Jobs Act in the Budget Law under discussion today in the House Budget Commission. The aim is to promote stable work and reduce precarious employment. The amendment will reduce possible renewals from 36 to 24 months and extensions from five to three for future contracts. After the Commission's vote, the news on the job will be submitted to the House of Representatives and then to the Senate for examination.

Another important novelty of the budget maneuver is the end of maxi-adjustments for bills of electricity, gas and water, as anticipated by FIRSTonline on 9 December: the managers will have two years to align the payments owed by families and professionals to actual consumption but after two years (and no longer within five years) the payment prescriptions will take effect. Furthermore, refunds to consumers on overpayments will have to take place within three months.

It is the most relevant amendment, at least for the general public, approved on Saturday 16 December to the 2018 Budget Law by the Budget Commission of the Chamber which today will examine further amendments by the Government and - in addition to the new rules on employment contracts - the thorny issue of the web tax.

Coming too the right for public entities that own properties to be put on the market to sell them also to foreign companies through real estate funds.

The Budget Commission, which has already changed the calendar of tax deadlines for next year, also set up a Registry for arcade operators and is preparing to approve the last part of the maneuver before handing it over to the hearing of the Deputies. But the changes introduced mean that the provision must return to the Senate for final approval.
