On the budget law "we will ask to do it as soon as possible" and it is therefore "presumable" that he will go to the Chamber tomorrow evening, Wednesday 7 December. This was stated by the leader of the Pd group in the Senate Budget Commission, Giorgio Santini, explaining that "if there are no amendments, one vote will suffice", not necessarily of confidence.
The objective is the "rapid passage" of the text, as approved in the House, excluding the possibility of a reopening of the measure. It is possible that the final go-ahead will arrive by the weekend, or at the latest the first few days of the next.
After that, Prime Minister Matteo Renzi will formalize his resignation, currently frozen at the request of the Head of State, Sergio Mattarella. The ghosts to be avoided are the provisional exercise and the failure to sterilize the safeguard clauses with the increase in VAT rates.
For these reasons, a procedure of "technical trust" is taking shape, requested by the outgoing government to nullify any possible modification with respect to the text of the Chamber. The text should therefore be approved as quickly as possible in the Budget Committee in the Chamber, to then land in the Chamber at Palazzo Madama and be approved as quickly as possible. However, the agreement of the group leaders is needed. And the possibility of reaching a global agreement, with the renunciation of the oppositions to present amendments in committee, appears difficult.
But the League goes on the attack: “There are no grounds – Massimiliano Fedriga and Marco Centinaio group leaders in the Senate write in a note – for the rapid approval of the budget law in the Senate, unless the government eliminates immediately all pre-election hustlers entered before Sunday's vote. We don't want to prolong the agony to repay the endorsements received by Renzi during the electoral campaign”.
Forza Italia also gives battle: "The strange hypotheses on a possible freezing of the crisis of the Renzi government, with the accelerated approval of the budget law thanks even to so-called "technical trusts", are completely impracticable", the group leaders made clear blues Paolo Romani and Renato Brunetta.
