After the defeat of the European vote Luigi Di Maio gives in to pressure, also internal to the M5S, and asks that the Rousseau platform decide on his role as leader of the movement. Voting will take place tomorrow 30 May from 10 to 20.
The move of the pentastellato leader clearly shows the internal earthquake of the 5 Star Movement after bad result of the Europeans, where the party finished in third place with 17,1% of the votes, overtaken by the PD and even doubled by the government allies of the League.
“I ask that my role as political leader on Rousseau be put to the vote by the members – explains Di Maio – because it is right that you are the ones to express yourself. The only ones I have to account for my work. All the 5-star movement will choose. If the movement will renew faith in me then we will get to work to change many things that are wrong. I personally with even more commitment and dedication ".

Beyond the good intentions declared by Di Maio, it should however be remembered that the Rousseau platform was fined by the Privacy Guarantor Antonello Soro who judged it "unreliable and manipulable".
In the afternoon it arrives Beppe Grillo's endorsement of Di Maio: “We are facing – writes Grillo on his blog – a phenomenon of Italy's worst rejection of the movement: you win and you lose together when the threat does not come from within, those who are still in the race must remain, no expiation ”.

Luigi Di Maio is not the only one in the eye of the storm. The Senator Gianluigi Paragone, reacts to the controversies that arose following an interview given to Corriere della Sera with the eloquent title: "He also did badly as a minister, he decides what to leave". Inside, Paragone increases the dose: “the M5S needs an interlocutor who will listen to it. And he cannot hold two ministries. If you want to be Superman, you have to prove it. At 32, you cannot be the head of the first force in the country, the deputy prime minister, the minister of economic development and the minister of labour".
Words that the leaders of the Movement did not like and which prompted the former journalist to promise to resign: "The title takes up a sentence that is not in the interview, and since I do not want to be considered a traitor, I will hand in my resignation as a parliamentarian, he will decide what to do with it”. he said to the microphones of Agorà on Rai Tre. “And if he tells me to stay, I stay, precisely because there is still a relationship of trust”, concludes Paragone.
