Him for her: Colao deploys Vodafone with the UN campaign

The CEO of the Vodafone group is among the champions of the "He for she" initiative. He involves 10 super managers, 10 heads of state and 10 great university presidents. With him also the Japanese premier Shinzo Abe, the rector of Oxford: leaders committed to raising awareness among men against gender discrimination and violence against women.

State leaders, super-managers, large universities. They are the testimonials of exception for 'HeForShe', the campaign promoted by UN Women, the United Nations organization for gender equality. Vittorio Colao, CEO of the Vodafone group, is among the managers committed to supporting the UN campaign and takes a front-line position: the purpose of the campaign, supported by the Vodafone Group, is to involve and raise awareness among men - primarily employees, collaborators and suppliers – against gender discrimination and violence against women.
 
The first initiative of this campaign – IMPACT 10x10x10 – involves 10 CEOs, 10 Heads of State and 10 university presidents with the commitment to encourage change in the various realities to be an example to their reference community. These include Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Ir. H. Joko Widodo, the CEOs of Barclays, Unilever and McKinsey & Company (Antony Jenkins, Paul Polman, Dominic Barton), the President of Koç Holding, Mustafa V. Koç, the heads of Georgetown University, John J. DeGioia, Oxford , Andrew Hamilton, São Paulo, Marco Antonio Zago and Sciences Po, Frédéric Mion.
 
The Vodafone Group is committed to reaching the ambitious goal of 100.000 signatures in support of the project. 
 
In particular Vodafone has the aim of reach 2020% of women among the 30 managerial roles by 7.500, increase women's access to the Internet as a tool for work and economic independence and to promote female education through technology in the refugee camps of the countries where Vodafone operates
