Paying for a flight from Rome to the United States is only 179 euros. This is the cost of the ticket offered by the Norwegian airline which has decided to take the long-haul low-cost route.
In fact, tickets for the first destinations to the USA are on sale starting today. Three chosen destinations: New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
The new routes to New York and Los Angeles will debut on November 9, with a one-way ticket for 179 euros. For San Francisco, on the other hand, it will be necessary to wait for February and the price will start from 199 euros. At these tiers, Norwegian offers at least 20% off traditional competitors.
“Rome is one of the most important tourist destinations in the world, and among the favorites of Americans, so it was an obvious choice for us as we want to continue to grow in the transatlantic presence,” Norwegian's head of commercial area said in a statement. Thomas Ramdahl.
Under Norwegian's project, when fully operational, there could be one flight a day to New York, four a week to Los Angeles and two every seven days to San Francisco.
