Enav, the company that manages civil air traffic in Italy, takes the field to relaunch aviation in Italy Libya. A delegation of the Organization, led by the managing director Paolo Simioni, met in Tripoli the Libyan Minister of Transport Muhammad Salem Al-Shahoubi and the president of the Libyan Civil Aviation Authority, Mustafa Benammar, to plan the interventions necessary for the relaunch of aviation civil society of the North African country and favor the restoration of direct connections with Italy and Europe.

Enav has been collaborating with the Libyan authorities since 2011 in various areas: training of operational personnel, modernization of air navigation infrastructure and aeronautical consultancy services. In the last two years, the Italian body has signed contracts with its Libyan counterpart for the modernization of air traffic management infrastructures for an amount equal to approximately 14 million euros. ENAV will supply and install technological systems for the control towers of Tripoli and Misrata International Airport and systems for the new Tripoli Area Control Centre.
