Electoral law, postponed to June 5th

The start of the discussion has been postponed for a week. Mediation is being sought with the prospect of approving the law by the end of June

Electoral law, postponed to June 5th

The arrival in the halls of the electoral law has been postponed. In fact, a front against bringing the "Rosatellum" to the courtroom had emerged in the Commission: the Progressive Democratic Movement, Forza Italia, Popular Area, Civics and Innovators. Giorgia Meloni, on the other hand, expressed her request for more technical insights into the system proposed by the Democratic Party. Only the League was therefore in agreement on the will of the Dems to give a strong acceleration to the process.

All parliamentary groups have undertaken to approve the electoral law by the end of June. Duro Bersani on Facebook: “This proposal has nothing to do with Mattarellum. There's one card here, not two. Here the allusion is certainly not to the coalition but rather to confused jumbles for electoral purposes between forces that resume their path the next day".

“Governability is not guaranteed – added the former secretary of the Democratic Party – representation is undermined and there is an abundance of nominees. We are at the umpteenth botched invention of the last minute"

The reply from Ettore Rosato, dem group leader in Montecitorio, who lends his name to the new nickname of the electoral law, was not long in coming: "Bersani's assessment is conditioned by a sort of grudge against Renzi and has nothing to do with merit ”.
