Stability Law, Saccomanni: "It is not necessary to change it, the Commission is already satisfied"

The Stability Law does not need any changes, because Italy has already responded to all the findings of the European Commission. The Treasury Secretary said, Fabrizio Saccomanni, entering this afternoon's Eurogroup meeting in Brussels.

The draft of the provision to which the criticisms were referred, which arrived last week from the Commission “is a text dated 15 October – clarified Saccomanni -. An abundant month has passed since then and new measures have been launched: today I will illustrate to my colleagues the interventions on privatizations, the spending reveiw, the project for the shares of the Bank of Italy and other things that we believe respond to the EU's findings " .

The minister then referred to a statement released shortly before by the president of the Eurogroup, Jeroen Dijsselbloem, who had pointed out how the Commission has not rejected any draft budget presented by the member states: "No country has been asked to present a plan alternative, it is a matter of understanding the measures already taken. I'm sorry for the rejection party”, concluded Saccomanni.
