2015 Stability Law: 10 billion more for growth, the balanced budget postponed to 2018

The 2015 Stability Law will be able to count on approx 10 billion euros derived from the difference between the trend and planned deficit: the former is around 2,3% in relation to GDP, while the latter will be set at 2,9%, six tenths more (equivalent, in fact, to around 10 billion to be allocated to growth). This is the approach of this year's Maneuver which will be certified today with the Update Note to the Economic and Financial Document expected in the Council of Ministers at 11.

Another important novelty in terms of recovery is a new one slippage of the balanced budget to 2018, three years later than the initial forecast.

Yesterday the Minister of Economy, Pier Carlo Padoan, hinted that the new profile outlined in the document is growth-oriented and includes expansionary measures also for the years to come.

Il GDP, below zero this year, should grow by half a percentage point next year precisely as a result of the manoeuvre.
