Employment: the "Crescere in digitale" training project kicks off, an opportunity for young people and businesses

Promoting the employment of young people and the digitization of small and medium-sized Italian enterprises: this is the aim of Crescere in digitale, the plan presented by the Minister of Labor Poletti and implemented in collaboration with Google and Unioncamere. In addition to the online training course, practical workshops and six-monthly paid internships are planned.

Employment: the "Crescere in digitale" training project kicks off, an opportunity for young people and businesses

Google, in collaboration with Unioncamere and the Ministry of Labor and Social Policies, officially launches the project grow digitally, training opportunities for young people and growth opportunities for SMEs. This is a free training course aimed at young people enrolled in the Youth Guarantee program designed to promote the employability of young people currently without a job.

The project was presented to me by the minister, Giuliano Poletti, by the President of Unioncamere, Ivan Lo Bello and by Diego Ciulli, Google's Public Policy Manager in Italy. Growing digitally involves a training course made up of various phases: 50 hours of online training, local laboratories and over 3000 paid internships (with 500 euros per month) in Italian companies.

Free training on the secrets of the internet is available starting today for over 700.000 young unemployed people enrolled in the "Youth Guarantee" program who will be able to access the training course on the platform www.crescereindigitale.it, made by Google.

Through online training, young people will have the opportunity to expand their knowledge of the digital ecosystem and learn how the web can be a valid tool to support the growth and international visibility of Italian companies. Among the testimonies also that of Vint Cerf, one of the fathers of the great Net and today Chief Internet Evangelist of Google, but also Made in Italy professionals, pioneers in Italy in the use of the web.

“Today – said Poletti – a project is concretely starting which has two objectives, both of which are important: to improve the employability of young people to facilitate their entry into the job market and to encourage the digitization of companies, an important lever for development and competitiveness. 'Crescere in digitale' is a concrete example of how the collaboration between public institutions and the business world represents an essential support for boosting innovation and producing a wider number of opportunities. I am convinced that the members of the Youth Guarantee will appreciate this initiative”.
