"We are not favoring easy layoffs”, thus replied the President of the Republic Giorgia Napolitano, reassuring those who raised concerns about the results of the labor reform. The President, engaged in the commemoration of the massacre of the Ardeatine pits, has shown himself confident "that the reform will be supported in Parliament, where concerns and proposals will be discussed".
Napolitano also stressed the inescapable and peremptory nature of the reform "to do, given that the emergency now is the workers who lose their jobs because factories are closing or are in crisis”. We need "new investments to relaunch work, merits, innovations especially of young people".
