These are the data contained in the monthly Bulletin of Excelsior information system created by Unioncamere and Anpal which underlines how in May, in addition to the cyclical growth of contracts (+14 thousand compared to April) mainly concerning the manufacturing and construction sectors, the trend in the demand for labor also returned to positive (+4 thousand compared to May 2018).

Going into details, according to the Excelsior study the industry shows growth total number of contracts equal to approximately 11 thousand activations more than in the previous twelve months (+9,5% in percentage terms), with positive increases in all sectors. The tertiary sector, on the other hand, was down slightly, with 6.600 contracts scheduled, 2% less than in May 2018. Despite a mixed picture, in the tertiary sector, media and communication services stand out, showing the fastest trend rate of increase. accentuated (+11,5%), even if in absolute values ​​the best performances are recorded in the tourism sector, with an increase of over 2.200 contracts compared to May 2018.

What are the most requested figures? “The trends in the industrial sectors are a driving force for the growth in the expected demand for skilled workers and machine operators (+11% compared to May 2018), with great difficulty in finding, in particular, smelters, welders, tinsmiths and other similar professions (59%) and workers of automatic and semi-automatic machines for metalworking and mineral products (52,9%)”, explains the monthly bulletin.

From a territorial point of view instead, in May expected revenues in the central regions are growing (+8 thousand) and in the North West (+6 thousand.). The expectations of the South and Islands (-8 thousand admissions) and for the North-Eastern regions (-2 thousand) are of the opposite sign.
