Proto enters RCS with 0,5%: "After Della Valle's exit, there is interesting room for manoeuvre"

Alessandro Proto enters RCS by purchasing 0,5% of the share package. The departure of Diego Della Valle, instead of annihilating the will of new protagonists to join the group, prompted Proto Consulting, through Proto Organization Ltd of London, to try to gain positions in RCS Mediagroup.

Proto enters RCS with 0,5%: "After Della Valle's exit, there is interesting room for manoeuvre"

Proto Consulting enters RCS by purchasing 0,5% of the share package. If with the exit of Diego della Valle from the board of directors and the syndicate pact the rule that the attempt to gain positions within the editorial group led by Piegaetano Marchetti seemed to be confirmed, today the break with the owner of Tod's opens up new scenarios within the group. And Proto Consulting says it wants to play a leading role.

"Something will change in RCS". The company led by Alessandro Proto is determined to leverage Della Valle's "boisterous exit", seeing in recent events the very possibility that something is destined to change in the group in which Mediobanca is the main shareholder (14,2 %). In a press release released today, he formalizes the purchase of the stake in RCS and motivates the choice precisely in view of "interesting room for maneuver" within the group that publishes Corriere della Sera.

"No interest in Fiorentina". A confirmation, and a denial. Regarding the rumors circulated yesterday that told of Proto's interest in Fiorentina, presided over by Della Valle, the club said it wanted to deny "categorically any interest on our part in the football club and any contact with Diego Della Valle with whom we have never had any relationship but we respect him as an entrepreneur and a man of communication”.

A communication strategy, as in the case of leaving Fonsai. A direct, somewhat anomalous statement that leaves nothing to interpretation. On the other hand, Alessandro Proto has made communication his forte. “I have to use strong communication to make myself heard”, he declared a year ago in an interview with Money report. The same strategy adopted a week ago, when Proto Consulting sold its 1% stake in Fonsai, justifying the operation with the desire to keep away from "subjects interested in society” who “seem more interested in solving personal issues than in enhancing industrial activity”.
