Germany slows down: GDP +0,7% in 2012

In the previous two years, growth had been higher: +4,2% in 2010 (the highest rate since reunification) and +3% in 2011 – Last year exports recorded an annual increase of 4,1% and imports by 2,3%.

Germany slows down dramatically, but continues to grow. In 2012, the German gross domestic product showed an overall increase of 0,7% on a trend basis.

“In the previous two years, growth had been higher: +4,2% in 2010 (the highest rate since reunification) and +3% in 2011”, specifies the German Statistical Institute.

Last year the exports recorded an annual increase of 4,1% and the cheap imports by 2,3%. The public budget is in surplus, equal to 0,1% of GDP compared to -0,8% in 2011.

About an hour from opening today the Dax 30 index of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange leave 0,2% in the field.
