Juventus, the FIGC prosecutor asks for 11 penalty points
This morning the federal prosecutor of the Football Federation Giuseppe Chinè asked the Court of Appeal to impose on Juventus 11 penalty points in the standings for the capital gains case. This is 4 points less than those envisaged by the sentence of last January, but 2 more than those requested - again in January - by the FIGC. The public prosecutor's office also requested 8 months of inhibition for the directors Pavel Nedved, Enrico Vellano and Paolo Garimberti.
How did we get to this point? After the sentence at the beginning of the year, which had established the famous 15 penalty points, there was a "second episode", with the Coni guarantee board, which represents the last degree of sports justice, which in April had excluded or reduced the responsibilities of some managers and ordered a new judgment to take them into account.
What could happen with the 11 penalty points
We arrive at today. The sentence of the Court of Appeal could arrive nin the late afternoonor, immediately after the closure of Piazza Affari (Juventus is a listed company), or in the evening, in any case before the match scheduled for tonight between Massimiliano Allegri's team and Empoli.
If the 11 penalty points in the standings requested by the Italian Football Federation prosecutor were accepted by the Court of Appeal, Juventus would drop from 69 to 58 points, placing themselves in seventh place in the standings behind Roma who have 59 (however, both have one game less, with the Giallorossi engaged in the afternoon against Salernitana and Juve on the field at 20.30 against Empoli). The bianconeri would therefore be virtually out of the European cups, waiting for the Coppa Italia final between Inter and Fiorentina and for the Conference final which once again sees Fiorentina as protagonists and which could be worth a place in Europe for the Viola. And obviously waiting for the last two days of the championship (3 for Roma and Juve) in which the teams competing for the cups will play it all.
