The famous British designer John Galliano, famous for his flair, announced on Instagram his farewell to Maison Margiela, of which he was the creative director for ten years.
“Today is the day I say goodbye to Maison Margiela,” she wrote, without giving any details. “The rumors… Everyone wants to know and everyone wants to dream. When the time comes, everything will be revealed,” she added, as the fashion world has been wondering about her future for months.

Lo stylist, considered one of the brightest of his generation, was removed from Dior in 2011 after an altercation in which, while drunk, he shouted anti-Semitic insults at customers in a Parisian bar. Six months after his dismissal, he was sentenced to a suspended fine of 6.000 euros. After a descent into hell lasting three and a half years and a detox treatment, reiterating that he was neither racist nor anti-Semitic, he found refuge at Maison Margiela, which appointed him artistic director.

In his Instagram post, Galliano reiterated that he has been “sober for 14 years” and paid tribute to Renzo Rosso, owner of the Otb group which owns Maison Margiela: “The most precious gift he gave me was giving me back the chance to find, once again, my creative voice when I had lost it”.
