Italy-China, agreements for 8 billion: over 20 Italian companies involved

Prime Minister Matteo Renzi and the Minister of Economic Development Federica Guidi also signed the memorandum of understanding yesterday evening: the project will involve at least twenty Italian companies active in the sustainable development sector in the development plan of the Zhenjiang area, represented by the director of Guo Jian district.

“Today we sign 20 trade agreements worth 8 billion”. This was announced yesterday by the prime minister, Matteo Renzi, at the end of the meeting with the Chinese premier Li Keqiang. In particular, again yesterday evening at Palazzo Barberini, and again in the presence of the Prime Minister and the Minister of Economic Development Federica Guidi and the Prime Minister of the People's Republic of China Li Keqiang, the Memorandum of Understanding between the GSE - and the Zhenjiang Economic and Technological Development District.

Through this project, the GSE, represented by the president and CEO Nando Pasquali, has involved over twenty Italian companies active in the sustainable development sector in the development plan of the Zhenjiang area, represented by the district director Guo Jian. The Memorandum of Understanding - informs a note - establishes that GSE and Zhenjiang will collaborate in identifying, each in their own country, the companies interested in investing in the project which includes industrial initiatives relating to the sectors of agriculture, energy, health, of aeronautics and aimed at the creation of the "Italian-Chinese Demonstration Park on sustainable innovation in agriculture".

The Park will be built on an area of ​​ten square kilometers and will attract investments for an amount initially estimated at 800 million euros. "The Memorandum of Understanding aims to strengthen global cooperation between Italian and Chinese companies in the context of research and development of agricultural technology, including food safety", said Pasquali, underlining that this area also includes "the renewable energies applied to the agricultural sector, with particular regard to the production and use of biogas, biomass and biofuels”.
