The growth of producer prices slowed down in February 2012. According to Istat, costs grew by 0,3% last month, recording an annual growth of 3,1%, the lowest figure since March 2010. A positive signal that confirms the positive trend of the climate of confidence in the Italian economy published yesterday by the EU Commission.
Net of energy costs production costs increased by 0,4% on a quarterly basis and by 1,4% on a trend basis. The price to produce the products that are then sold on the domestic market grew by 0,4%.
