Good news from Italian industrial production, which rises much more than expected in July. According to data released this morning by Istat, the seasonally adjusted increase was 1,1% compared to June and 2,9% on an annual basis.
- analyst, on average, had estimated a positive change of 0,5% over the month and 0,9% over the year.
In the gods first seven months on the other hand, the index rose by 0,7% over the same period in 2014.
The growth of industrial production involved all the main companies in July productive sectors, from energy (+7,1%) to consumer goods (+1%), from intermediate goods (+0,6%) to capital goods (+0,3%).
Well especially the production of auto, increased by 44,9% compared to the same month of 2014. Between January and July the increase was 44,2% on the year.
As regards the sectors of economic activity, in July 2015, the sectors that recorded the greatest tendential growth are those of the manufacture of means of transport (+20,1%), of the supply of electricity, gas, steam and air (+ 12,0%) and the manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products (+11,7%).
The greatest decreases were recorded in the sectors of mining (-5,0%), metallurgy and manufacturing of metal products, excluding machinery and plants (-2,4%) and manufacturing of electrical equipment and household appliances non-electrical (-0,8%).
