Italy emerges from the recession registering a GDP increase in the first quarter of 2015 by 0,3% compared to the last three months of last year. it detects theIstat in his preliminary estimate, also pointing out that the figure with respect to the first quarter of 2014 remained unchanged. The variation acquired for 2015 is 0,2%.
In economic terms this is the first positive data in the last six quarters. In fact, to find a figure with the 'sign +' on changes in GDP in cyclical terms, we need to go to +0,1% in the third quarter of 2013. Furthermore, last week, the Statistical Institute had revised upwards its GDP estimates for 2015, 2016 and 2017.
Istat also specifies that the first quarter of 2015 had one working day less than the previous quarter and the same number of working days compared to the first quarter of 2014.
The national statistical institute also points out that the economic growth is to be attributed to the increase in added value in the agricultural and industrial sectors and to a substantially stationary nature in services.
