Investors rediscover real estate, leader in 2012 in Piazza Affari

The brick dominates the ranking of the 2012 increases on the Milan Stock Exchange. Since the beginning of the year, after the heavy losses of 2011, many real estate stocks have recorded triple-digit increases. Numbers equaled only by the Premafin group, the Ligresti family holding company struggling with the recapitalization and reorganization of the group.

Fly the brick to Piazza Affari. Among the biggest increases since the beginning of the year, the performance of real estate securities stands out. The Sintesi investment company and the Aedes group recorded triple-digit increases, +121% and +117% respectively. But among the top ten titles, Prelios (+86%) Ambroimmobiliare (+84%) and Gabetti (+77%) also stand out.

New interest in real estate. Investors are therefore once again showing interest in real estate. An expected rise, in stock market jargon a "technical rise", given that the shares lost value throughout 2011, annus horribilis for the entire list. Securities in the real estate sector, starting with Aedes and Sintesi, recorded significant losses. In these three months, on the other hand, part of the value lost last year has been recovered.

A strong upward trend actually justified by the low capitalization of listed companies. The percentage numbers of the increases in this case can be emphasized by the purchases, volumes that do not exceed 500 thousand euros, but capable of heavily affecting a limited free float.

Change at the top of Aedes. As for the Aedes group, today Mf-Milano Finanza reveals that Filippo Carbonari's adventure at the top of the company has come to an end. The managing director, who arrived exactly in April of a year ago on the command deck of the Milanese real estate company, has completed his annual mandate and is ready to leave. His name does not appear in the list of candidates for the renewal of the board of directors that the Amenduni family of Vicenza, owner of 35,3% of the company, has filed in these hours.

Premafin. Another story for the second place among the biggest increases in the Milan price list, awarded by Premafin (+120%), the financial holding controlled by the Ligresti family, essentially due to the recapitalization of the group and the shareholder restructuring underway in recent months.
