American investments in Italy: CTC Global opens an office in Rome headed by Andrea Sacripanti

The Californian company CTC Global will invest in Italy. Leader in the telecommunications sector, in 2006 it obtained a patent for the production of power cables in carbon and glass fiber for the transport of electricity. He has recently opened an office in Rome and appointed the international manager Andrea Michele Sacripanti.

A product of California's Silicon Valley, CTC Global is a leader in the telecommunications sector and holds an innovative patent for the production of carbon fiber and glass fiber power lines for the transport of electricity. It has recently opened an office in Rome, whose representation is entrusted to the Italian super manager Andrea Michele Sacripanti who intends to expand the already 25 km of cables installed throughout the world on the territory of the boot. The objective pursued by CTC Global Italia is to invest in the creation of success stories in a period of economic and industrial crisis, with the placement of resources in Italy for the development of an entirely Italian product. 

The prominent figure of Sacripanti embodies the mission of the company he represents: investing in Italy and in the brains of the many talented mechanical engineers that our universities produce every year. Andrea graduated in Economics at the London School of Economics and in Polytechnic Sciences at the Sapienza University of Rome, before returning to London to obtain a Master's in European Policies. From 93 onwards he held managerial positions in leading public and private companies such as Ernst & Young, H3G spa and British Telecom Italia spa. He is also a freelance journalist and author of numerous articles on issues concerning the liberalization of telecommunications.

Entering the technician of the product created by CTC Global, one can see how thanks to its patent it will be possible, in Italy as in the rest of the world where this technology is already active, to transport up to double the electricity without modifying the existing structures. This is thanks to the Aluminum Conductor Composite Core (ACCC) conductor which boasts a coefficient of thermal expansion ten times lower than that of steel, a factor which allows an extremely lower heating of the conductor wire. 

This is why Italian utilities should be interested in such a technology. The ACCC conductor allows to increase the transport capacity given the unnecessary dismantling of the existing structures. With an almost zero environmental impact, enormous advantages will be obtained especially where it is impervious to build new overhead lines. 

Italy will therefore obtain a double benefit: on the one hand, the improvement of the efficiency in the transport of electricity due to the lower current dispersion guaranteed by the ACCC technology; on the other, a large investment on the peninsula which will mainly affect our younger engineers. Just as in America the brightest minds are selected from prestigious colleges such as MIT, in Italy the in-depth knowledge that new technologies require will be rewarded. With almost one out of two young people unemployed, the one offered by CTC Global seems like a precious opportunity for Made in Italy.
