Youth entrepreneurship, eighteen year olds and more: incentives are arriving to start an agricultural business

They arrive in the Chamber incentives for the promotion and development ofyouth entrepreneurship in agriculture. Entrepreneurs of all ages benefit from it between 18 and 41 years. Not only. Incentives for new agricultural businesses

To encourage the settlement of youth enterprises in agriculture fiscal action is being taken on several fronts: 1) a preferential tax regime, which consists in the payment of a substitute tax determined by applying the rate of 12,5 percent to the tax base made up of the business income produced in the tax period. Provided, however, that the beneficiaries of this tax measure have not carried out any other agricultural business activity in the previous three years and that they have regularly fulfilled the social security, insurance and administrative obligations required by law. 2) Furthermore, incentives are introduced for the purchase and sale of agricultural land and its appurtenances; 3) tax credit for expenses relating to participation in training courses; 4) tax breaks for the expansion of cultivated areas. In particular, it is established that starting from 1 January 2024, young agricultural entrepreneurs with the qualification of direct farmer or professional agricultural entrepreneur and registered with the relevant social security management, are subject - in the case of purchase or exchange of agricultural land and their appurtenances - to pay the registration, mortgage and cadastral taxes at the rate of 60 percent of those, ordinary or reduced, provided for by current legislation.

A was then established Background to encourage the first establishment of young people in agriculture with an endowment of 15 million euros starting next year, aimed at co-financing programs prepared by the regions and autonomous provinces.
