ILVA
If the decree is not dismissed, the most serious consequences will be for theIlva. The giant ArcelorMittal, owner of the Taranto steelworks, has made it clear for some time that it will close the factories on 6 September if criminal immunity is not restored for the execution of the environmental plan. The guarantee had been canceled by the yellow-green government with the growth decree.
WHIRLPOOL
But the provision to be approved also contains the rules for the Whirlpool. The company is never mentioned, but the exemption from the additional contribution for the extraordinary redundancy fund is mainly intended for her. In the explanatory report to the text we read that "the expected benefit must not be read as a loan to the company, but as a system of protection for the purpose of maintaining employment levels".
RIDER
In the decree there are then the rules on RIDER: those enrolled in the separate management will need only one month of contributions paid in the previous year (no longer 3) to benefit from maternity, parental leave, sickness and hospital stay. The latter allowance is increased by 100%. The economic treatment, on the other hand, will be a mix of piecework (which in any case should not be the "prevailing" payment method), wages and incentives. The definition of the schemes is left "to the negotiating autonomy" between the peers. However, there is no uncertainty about the compulsory nature of insurance coverage.
