Harakiri of M5S and the reform of the Senate runs: the amendments rejected and 7 other articles approved

The suicidal Aventine line of the grillini cancels the obstructionism and paves the way for the reform of the Senate: all the amendments rejected and seven other articles approved - Palazzo Madama's yes to the first reading by Friday - Immunity unchanged - No indemnity - The 5 senators appointed by the Quirinal will remain in office for 7 years and no longer for life

In the end Matteo Renzi will have to thank Beppe Grillo because the Aventine line of the 5 Star Movement is literally opening the doors to the reform of the Senate which on Friday should be approved in first reading by Palazzo Madama. The grillini's absence in the courtroom gave a strong acceleration to the reform, effectively shelving the obstructionism: all the amendments were rejected and 7 other articles approved by a large majority.

Among today's news are the rules on immunity, which remain unchanged, i.e. identical for the House and the Senate. Furthermore, any allowance for new senators was excluded. Finally, there will be no more senators for life: the five nominated by the President of the Republic will remain in office for 7 years and will fall with the Head of State.
