These are the words of the president of Acri and of Fondazione Cariplo di Joseph Guzzetti in his speech at the 23rd National Congress of the Association of Foundations and Savings Banks taking place in Lucca today and tomorrow.
Guzzetti's words refer to the decision of the Renzi executive to replace the leaders of the CDP who also received words of appreciation from Guzzetti for the "great work done in recent years". The Government's goal is to give a new impetus to CDP's activity, as a tool to relaunch growth.
Therefore Guzzetti wanted to clarify that the 64 shareholder Foundations of Cassa depositi e prestiti intend to collaborate with the Government in relaunching CDP, provided that they can count on the profitability of their investment and that the accounts of the company controlled by the Treasury remain in order. “In CDP, the Foundations continue to be active and proactive shareholders, after the conversion of their preferred shares into ordinary shares (we have 18,4). The role of CDP for the development of the country is essential”, added Guzzetti.
