All eyes on Greece which today is called to experience another dramatic day. In the evening, Parliament will have to vote on the anti-crisis intervention plan requested by the European Union and the International Monetary Fund to grant the new aid needed to avoid bankruptcy. Prime Minister Lucas Papademos has launched a dramatic appeal: "Either hard sacrifices or chaos". And he explained that the new crackdown is very heavy but it is the only one capable of ensuring a future for Greece.
However, the square does not fit and after the strikes of recent days, demonstrations of strong protest are planned today as well. "They are ruining our lives" said yesterday a banner of the demonstrators determined to take the field again today. The outcome of tonight's vote will certainly make his influence felt on the markets tomorrow.
