Fifty of the greatest pizza masters will converge from all over Italy in Rome for the City of Pizza, the great event dedicated to lovers of the most famous pasta disc in the world which is scheduled at the Arco di Travertino and the Arco di Travertino Linear Park, from Friday 20 October to Sunday 22 October.

All the pizza traditions, Neapolitan, Italian, Roman, Tasting, Fried and Gluten Free will delight the enthusiasts who have already been able to participate in the numerous tastings in previous editions.

To open the dance, on Friday 20 October from 18 pm, eight great and undisputed masters of pizza: Ciro Salvo (50 Kalò), Ivano Veccia (Allegrìo), Marco Quintili (I Quintili), Antonio Falco (L'Antica Pizzeria da Michele) , Mattia Lattanzio and Giovanni Giglio (Extremis), Andrea Renzi (La Mangiatoia), Sami El Sabawy (Tonda) and Iacopo Alberti (Sbanco), who will inaugurate this seventh edition of the event.

After the national tour which touched the main Italian cities - Milan, Florence, Palermo, Naples and Bari - and which allowed the selection of young pizza talents thanks to the technical supervision of Luciana Squadrilli and Luciano Pignataro; the time has come to decree the best emerging pizza chef in Italy. In fact, only the pizza chefs present on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd October, starting from 11am, will be competing to win the title and the prize worth 4.000 euros.

Lthe rule remains the one that made the success of La Città della Pizza: each pizza chef will have to propose two pizza recipes to the public. A traditional one – Margherita or Marinara – to be prepared with Cirio Alta Cucina tomatoes and Fiordilatte Latteria Sorrentina; a Warhorse representative of one's art and identity. Each pizza chef will have Molino Casillo dusting flour and Valoriani and Izzo Forni ovens available.

The calendar of free activities for adults, children and operators in the sector is very full. The workshops for the little ones will be organized and held by the great pizza masters of Avpn - Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana, while the Pizza School - designed by Ooni - will be a space dedicated to all enthusiasts who want to learn the secrets linked to the world of pizza and of leavening.

The Talks and Technical Meetings will be led by Luciano Pignataro and Luciana Squadrilli and held by the Great Master Pizza Chefs who will discuss the themes and trends of the sector.

We have many activities planned to make known all the secrets of the art of pizza, without neglecting the fun and unmistakable convivial atmosphere that is the basis of all our events at La Città della Pizza".

A new location for a program equally full of novelties that will enliven one of the most important and dynamic neighborhoods of Rome. The City of Pizza will aim to actively involve citizens in free activities, with the aim of being a center for aggregation and support for sociality.
