The PDL is inflamed with the discussion on the successor of Sandro Bondi, who resigned after the defeat of last weekend's ballots. Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi is seriously considering the Alfano hypothesis, to be joined by Denis Verdini and Ignazio La Russa as the new coordinator of the first Italian party. The Keeper of the Seals would thus be forced to leave the Ministry of Justice, for which the totonomine has already started.
In pole position would be Maurizio Lupi, deputy in the CL share, but the arrival of a technician is not excluded. The most probable arrangement is that Alfano will be joined by the three current national coordinators, in order to break the resistance of the triumvirate and of the former 'Aennina' area headed by La Russa and Gasparri. Together they will have to manage the transition to a new statute that introduces the figure of the political secretary, for which Alfano is destined.
