Yesterday a truck hit a group of soldiers in front of a bus stop in Jerusalem, causing at least four deaths and 15 injuries. The person responsible would be killed. This was reported by the Israeli military radio. The police, citing sources in the emergency room, specified that the victims are three women and a man, all in their 20s.

The assailant shot soldiers who had just got off a bus. After running over them, the man reversed and passed over them again. At that point the soldiers who remained unharmed fired on him killing him. The driver of the vehicle from which the soldiers had got off told the military radio.

"According to all the elements gathered so far, the perpetrator of the Jerusalem attack is a supporter of the Islamic State", added Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu at the end of an inspection at the site of the attack. “We know there is a common thread of bombings and certainly there can be a link to France and Berlin and now Jerusalem. We fight against this evil and we will have the upper hand."

"When will the world understand that the problem is Palestinian hatred?". So via Twitter Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman Emmanuel Nahshon commented on what he believes to be a "new Palestinian attack".

Hamas from Gaza applauded the attack. Islamic movement spokesman Hazzem Qassem, quoted by the Israeli media, wrote on his Facebook page that "the ongoing operations in the West Bank and East Jerusalem prove that the Jerusalem Intifada is not an isolated event, but rather a decision by the Palestinian people to rebel until he gets his freedom and liberation from Israeli occupation”.
