Generali-Vitality Group: partnership extended to 2028

Generali and Vitality Group, the international business of Discovery Group, have extended their European partnership for Generali Vitality, the health and wellness program “designed to encourage and reward the virtuous behaviors of customers seeking a healthier lifestyle. Since 2014, Generali has held the rights to the program in continental Europe”, explains the company in a statement.

The partnership will be possible funtil the end of 2028 and will be rolled out to key markets including Italy (in 2021), the Czech Republic and Poland in 2022. Generali Vitality is already available to customers in Spain, Germany, France and Austria.

The Spanish and Italian programs also include a supportive component, offering customers the opportunity to donate rewards earned through The Human Safety Net initiative, which aims to unleash the potential of people living in vulnerable settings to transform the lives of their families and communities.

Bruno Scaroni, group chief transformation officer of Generali, said: “The success of the partnership between Generali and Vitality Group demonstrates that our commitment to the health and well-being of our customers is at the heart of what we do. The extension agreement until 2028 is both exciting and testament to the role it plays in our next strategic plan, to reach new markets across Europe. Generali Vitality creates an innovative bond between insurer and customer by encouraging and rewarding healthy choices that benefit individuals and society as a whole. As a result, this program represents a strong point in our commitment to be a Lifetime Partner for our clients."

Barry Swartzberg, CEO of Vitality Group International, commented: “The expansion of our partnership in Europe with Generali is not only a testament to the proven success of our shared value insurance model, but a major opportunity to motivate more people to stay active, eat right and stay mentally strong and resilient. We are excited about the opportunity to bring the Vitality program to the citizens of Spain, Italy, the Czech Republic and Poland."
