From the #CallForGrowth on Insurtech, launched in July, growITup has selected 8 startups that had the opportunity to meet and introduce themselves to the largest Italian insurance group – For Amiko, Neuron Guard and Nuvap Prosystem the second phase of the challenge begins, in which they will work with Generali Italia and growITup to define collaborative projects.

The #CallForGrowth on Insurtech, launched in July by Generali Italia and growITup has come to life: three of the eight startups – Amiko, Neuron Guard and Nuvap Prosystem – have been selected and one-to-one meetings have begun with the Company's management, to identify the main areas of collaboration and synergy between startups and Generali Italia. "We congratulate the three selected startups - said Marco Sesana, Country Manager and Chief Executive Officer of Generali Italia - "we are convinced that the collaboration with these realities can give us the opportunity to explore and test new innovation possibilities for our business”.

The challenge launched by Generali Italia and growITup to digital startups had the triple objective of:
1. make insurance operations more efficient;
2. provide non-insurance services in the Health area;
3. validate solutions to support corporate welfare.

The three selected startups that will be able to access the following phases:

friend: a platform for the management of respiratory diseases that allows advanced monitoring of drugs and treatment efficacy to reduce hospitalizations. These sensors are certified medical devices (CE class IIa) that can be added to conventional inhalers. http://amiko.io/

With Amiko, Neuron Guard and Nuvap Prosystem, growITup and Generali Italia will develop a growth path divided into the remaining two phases: Engage and Scale. In the Engage phase, the startups will begin a period of collaboration with Generali Italia. It is at this juncture that the Company, always supported by the growITup team and by the solution partners of its network, will be able to experiment and test the innovative potential of startups. The final objective, the Scale phase: to create commercial, investment and co-investment opportunities, also thanks to the 100 million euro Venture Capital fund dedicated precisely to growITup startups.

“The growITup methodology, based on the three pillars Connect, Engage and Scale, has already demonstrated that it can offer concrete results to our partners,” explained growITup partner Enrico Noseda. “The Engage phase that we launched with the Presentation Day certainly offers a great opportunity for growth for the startups involved, but also an important opportunity for discussion for Generali, because digital transformation can bring great benefits to the insurance sector by supporting the offer of increasingly customer oriented services”.

The Presentation Day took place in the Cariplo Factory and, in line with the principles of Open Innovation that characterize the growITup platform, created in collaboration with Microsoft, saw the participation of numerous partners including Accenture, Avanade, HPE, Intesa Sanpaolo, Microsoft , in addition of course to the innovation managers of Generali Italia.
