Gaza, almost 600 victims. Palestinian sources speak of a truce for today, Israel denies

Seven Palestinians were killed this morning in new Israeli air raids on the Gaza Strip: among them a family with four women. The Palestinian death toll thus rises to 583 dead and over 3.640 injured, on the fifteenth day of the Israeli offensive against the Hamas attacks.

Another night of clashes between Israel and Gaza: the Israeli army bombed five mosques, a stadium and the house of a Hamas leader. The sound of missiles at dawn was mixed with the thud of explosions and calls to prayer coming from loudspeakers in mosques: Israel's air offensive hit at least 70 targets in Gaza.

Seven Palestinians were killed this morning in new Israeli air raids on the Gaza Strip: among them a family with four women. The Palestinian death toll thus rises to 583 dead and over 3.640 injured, on the fifteenth day of the Israeli offensive against the Hamas attacks. 

Also 27 Israeli soldiers died: two were killed in the last few hours. Palestinian sources speak of a humanitarian truce scheduled for this morning, but Israel has not confirmed. Summit today in Cairo between US Secretary of State John Kerry, United Nations Secretary Ban Ki-moon and Egyptian President Sisi.

On Monday, a small hospital located in central Gaza was hit by an Israeli rocket, killing at least 5 people, while 60 were injured, including many doctors. The hospital affected is the one dedicated to the Martyrs of al-Aqsa (the military wing of al-Fatah), built a decade ago by the Palestinian National Authority. According to witnesses, the rocket hit the third floor of the building, causing serious damage. This was reported by local sources, from the town of Deir el-Balah.
