All Galleries of Italy the concerts ofEnsemble Musagete. In the baroque courtyard of Palazzo Leoni Montanari, equipped with one of the best open-air acoustics in the city, the Ensemble Musagète proposes two evenings to spend Together under the sky, promoted as part of the homonymous summer exhibition organized by the Vicenza Galleries, which intend to offer a rich calendar of "stories, images and music" during the summer.
The first date – Friday 16 July at 21 – brings into dialogue an ideal view of Canaletto – whose work had, like contemporary Italian music, great European resonance – with two pages of the main musical icons of Classicism, Mozart and Beethoven. The musical program opens with the first of sixteen string quartets that will follow the entire artistic existence of Beethoven. The Quartet in F major op. 18 no. 1, although still marked by the eighteenth-century spirit, already presents some elements of the very personal character of its author and of his understanding of music in a meaning that goes beyond and broadens the horizons of mere entertainment. Proof of this, for example, is the second movement, Affectionate and passionate adage, inspired, according to Beethoven himself, by the grave scene of the Romeo e Giulietta Shakespearean.
The second musical page, which also concludes the concert, is the sonata n. 26 for violin and piano by Mozart offered here in an original chamber transcription for clarinet and string trio, a version that accentuates, at the same time, the sinuous grace and gentle virtuosity without losing the magical and ingenious touch that keeps everything in a perfect balance between spontaneity and reflection, lightness and depth.
The next appointment is scheduled for Friday July 23, always at 21, with a program that brings together pages of Cimarosa, Hoffmeister and Mozart with the art of Louis Dorigny in the old house Montanara.
In the event of bad weather, the events will still take place indoors, in the Apollo Hall of the Galleries.
