In addition to being a very high-profile manager (up to three months he was executive chairman of Telecom Italia and in the past CEO of Eni), Franco Bernabè has never hidden his great passion for art. In recent years he was in fact president of the Venice Biennale and is still president of the Mart in Rovereto, without forgetting that in the past he too was on the verge of becoming minister for cultural heritage.
It is probably because of Bernabè's double role as manager and art lover that the mayor of Rome, Ignazio Marino, proposed him for the presidency of the capital's Palaexpo which also manages the Scuderie del Quirinale and the Casa del jazz.
The official announcement on the appointment of the Trentino-born manager is expected in the next few hours.
