Photovoltaic: stop to incentives, the ceiling of 6,7 billion euros has been reached

Reached the threshold of 6,7 billion euros of the indicative cumulative annual cost of the incentives for the development of photovoltaic systems. The Gestore dei Servizi Energetici (GSE) announced it, specifying that the plants that today have submitted the request for incentives are 531.242, for a total capacity of 18.217 MW.

Reaching the expected spending ceiling puts an end to the V Conto Energia and the incentives dedicated to Italian photovoltaics. Indeed, the Ministerial Decree dated 5 July 2012 on the Fifth Energy Account will cease to apply 30 calendar days after the official communication from the Electricity and Gas Authority.
