According to Assogestioni's monthly map, it is above all open-ended funds that are favoring the recovery, which catch their breath after the red in May – New record for assets under management at 2,195 billion.

The asset management industry gets its head back up after months of difficulty. Last month net inflows rose by 1,5 billion euro, thanks above all to the contribution of the open funds (+2,2 billion) which are recovering after the deep red marked in May, when outflows amounted to 5,5 billion euro. The managed assets reaches a new record, exceeding 2,195 billion euros (from 2.150,8 billion in the previous month. -759 million instead the result of portfolio management. These are the most relevant data contained in the monthly volume of Assogestioni.

Going into detail, among open-end funds, the best performers are bond funds (+1,2 billion) followed by monetary funds (+963 million), flexible funds (+345 million) and balanced funds (+193 million). On the other hand, there was a minus in front of equities which closed the month at -454 million, albeit an improvement from May (-2,7 billion). Closed-end funds are stable, the balance of which stops at +12 million. Down both retail (-119 million) and institutional (-640 million).

In terms of the masses collective management total 1.083,4 billion euros (49,3% of the total), concentrated for 1.022,7 billion (46,6%) in open funds (from 1.003,9 billion in May, 46,7%), while the assets of closed-end funds amounted to 60,7 billion (2,8%), from 59,9 billion.

As for the main players, according to what we read in the monthly map of Assogestioni, the group Generali it recorded outflows of 119,3 million euro, but remains firmly in "command" as regards assets under management: 504,8 billion, equal to 23,6% of the sector. The group Intesa Sanpaolo achieved positive net inflows of 2,4 billion (Eurizon +2,47 billion and Fideuram -67 million), with assets under management of 400,7 billion (18,8% of the sector). Third place for Amundi, with 190,6 billion in assets (8,9% of the total) and a negative balance in June of 707 million.
