Bank of Italy e Consob “monitor the consequences of the ongoing conflict on investment funds with exposures to Russian, Belarusian and Ukrainian assets, in consideration of the significant uncertainties both in the valuation of the assets and in their liquidity". The two Authorities write it in a joint statement, underlining that in any case "remains the responsibility of the fund manager carry out an accurate analysis to ascertain which measures and instruments can be activated at national level and under which conditions, carefully weighing the advantages and disadvantages for investors wishing to subscribe, redeem or continue to invest in the fund”.
In any case, Bank of Italy and Consob reiterate that "they will continue to monitor the impacts of the conflict and provide indications on the issues deriving from the war in Ukraine", but also recall that "the supervised entities" have already been represented, with a statement dated 7 March , “the need for full compliance with the restrictive measures decided by the European Union in response to the situationand in Ukraine”.
