Fincantieri and Carnival Corporation, the largest cruise line in the world, have finalized contracts for the construction of five next-generation passenger ships.

The agreements mark the most important milestone achieved in recent years by the two groups and have a total value of over 3 billion euros.

The announcement was made on board “Koningsdam”, the new ship in the Holland America Line fleet, delivered to the shipping company on March 31st and presented today at the Fincantieri shipyard in Marghera.

The contracts were signed by Micky Arison, chairman of Carnival Corporation, and Giuseppe Bono, managing director of Fincantieri, in the presence of the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Graziano Delrio.
