FCA Bank launches rental on Amazon and Mobility Store

In 2030, over a third of the Italian car fleet (35%) will be shared and no longer owned, and it will be through a wide range of options that we already know today as car sharing (used in Italy by 1 million users), rental (short, medium and long term), ride sharing and other still little-known solutions such as peer-to-peer, i.e. sharing directly between individuals. He understood that Leasys, the company of the FCA Bank group which offers 360-degree mobility solutions, which presented its new services in Rome, based on two trends: one is precisely disownership, the other digitalisation. “By 2020 – they declared Alberto Grippo, CEO of Leasys and Giacomo Carelli, CEO of FCA Bank – 50% of the new FCA Bank and Leasys contracts will be linked to the use of vehicles and not to ownership. And by 2020, 100% of FCA Bank contracts will be paperless".

In the first months of 2019, in Italy, a quarter of long-term rental cars were registered with Leasys. The goal is to become the fourth operator in Europe in the new mobility sector between now and 2021, and above all one of the very few that already operates in all sectors: in rental (now also on a short-term basis, with the acquisition of WinRental) , in city car sharing (motorizing the Enjoy fleet, in partnership with Eni and Fs), and in peer-to-peer sharing, with the launch of the U GO app. The bar is now set on: business expansion in Europe (the markets covered will go from 7 to 13); increase in turnover (already almost doubled from 2016 to 2018) and in the vehicle fleet, from the current 260.000 to almost half a million in two years; electric revolution, “with the fleet which in 2021 will be made up of 90% hybrid or electric cars, with a reduction of CO2 emissions of 60% compared to the current ones”. How to do it? Through these innovations: the Leasys Mobility Stores, the agreement with Amazon for short-term rental and, it is not yet known when, the probable entry as a new autonomous player in city car sharing.

Leasys Mobility Store

The Mobility Stores are points where Leasys customers can discover, with the support of specialized consultants, all the mobility solutions that the company offers, suitable for different lifestyles and consumption habits: "from one hour to a lifetime". A physical place where the customer can find offers dedicated to short, medium and long-term rental, peer-to-peer car sharing, the purchase of used vehicles, assistance, electric mobility and financial and insurance services. One hundred outlets have already been opened nationwide, especially in large cities and near airports, stations and ports, with a fleet of 5.000 cars for short/medium-term rental and car sharing. Leasys aims to have 400 physical points with over 12.500 cars in Italy, while in 2021 it plans to expand into Europe with 1.200 Mobility Stores and around 35.000 vehicles.

Amazon

Leasys' response to the mobility revolution also passes through the main online touchpoints such as Amazon, which already exist for long-term rental but are now being launched for offer the short-term rental service for the first time in Italy on Amazon.it. In June and July, Leasys will offer customers a voucher that can be purchased on Amazon for 3 days of rental at a fixed rate of €9,99 per day (total €29,99) for any car in the fleet, to be used by 27.07.2019. 2016 (pick-up date) at all Leasys Mobility Stores in Italy. The initiative follows precisely that of XNUMX, the first with Amazon.it dedicated to long-term rental in Italy.
