FCA and trade unions: negotiations for contract renewal begin

The opening meeting of the FCA, Cnhi, Ferrari Group contract expiring on December 31, involving 59.900 FCA, 16.890 Cnhi and 3.380 Ferrari workers, has just concluded at the Industrial Union of Turin. At stake is the third contract renewal since 2011. During the meeting, the platform presented last November 5 in Rome, voted by 98% of the RSAs of the FCA, Cnhi and Ferrari Group, was illustrated. In particular, aspects relating to participation, the cooling procedure and working hours were illustrated. As for corporate welfare, increases have been requested for supplementary pensions and supplementary healthcare.

"With this third renewal we can reach a maturity that defines a consolidated contractual model that sets an example for industrial relations - commented the leader of Fim Cisl, Marco Bentivogli - We want to close a contractual cycle by explaining to the country that what was done in FCA in terms contracts and industrial relations is an example of innovation to follow. The cooling procedure cannot be used in safety situations, otherwise the main aspect is distorted. While an important signal must be given on the classification, the experimentation started by finding solutions that take into account the new professionalisms by innovating must be made structural, it is very important that this comes from advanced technological companies such as the FCA Cnhi Group ".

In this renewal "the necessary space for training must then be recovered - the union leader underlined -, the passport of skills must become a current and structural practice and which is an example for other industrial realities but more generally for the country's training system . Training represents the real challenge of tomorrow for businesses and workers. A final element of renewal can be achieved with the negotiation times. Making an agreement well and soon would be a good sign of abandonment of old rituals and timing that are not useful and harmful to the contractual result. An important discussion on the Group's industrial prospects will begin on 29 November with the Group's top management, Manley and Gorlier. We expect contextualization with investment timing and locations announced in June."
