Falck Renewables, sold 49% of UK assets to Fondo Copenhagen

The Milan-based company active in the renewable energy sector has announced the sale of 49% of its wind farm assets in Great Britain to the Copenhagen Fund for an enterprise value of 546 million euros and cash receipts of 185 million – The two companies will pursue other projects Europeans in the sector – Falck Renewables shares soar on the Stock Exchange.

Falck Renewables announced the divestment of a 49% stake in wind assets in Great Britain al Copenhagen Infrastructure Fund in exchange for an enterprise value of 546 million euros and cash receipts of 185 million.

According to Equita analysts, this would be “very positive news for Falck Renew. Asset valuation is 17% higher than our estimates. By valuing the 273 MW at 2 million per MW, Falck Renew's target price would rise to 1,75 euros (+15% approximately)”. Following the formalization of the sale, Falck's shares began to run in Piazza Affari, gaining more than 4% by mid-morning.

Going into detail, the transaction in question provides for the sale of 49% of the companies controlling the six wind farms already operating in the United Kingdom for a total installed power of 272,8 MW. The note released by the two companies also explains that the parties intend to invest in other European projects in the energy sector.
