Il trade balance, negative, decreased and amounted to -4.194 million, while the energy deficit (-7.760 mln) is slightly higher than a year earlier.
In January 2023 theIstat estimates modest cyclical growth for the aggregate exports (+0,2%) mainly due to the increase in sales to the non-EU area (+0,8%), in particular of intermediate goods and non-durable consumer goods. L'export aggregate grows on an annual basis of Present in several = 15,3% in monetary terms and 2,4% in volume. And the growth of exports in value is more sustained towards i non-EU markets (+20,5%) compared to the EU area (+11,3%).
Export: Pharmaceuticals, Chemistry and Botany, the fastest growing sectors
Among the sectors which contribute most to theincrease trend of export the following should be noted: pharmaceutical, chemical-medicinal and botanical items (+53,9%), machinery and equipment nec (+19,8%) and food, beverage and tobacco products (+17,6%).
Su annual basis, the countries that provide the greatest contributions to the increase in national exports are: China (+137,5%), France (+17,1%), Germany (+6,1%), Turkey (+48,2 %), Switzerland (+14,4%) and the United Kingdom (+16,0%). On the other hand, sales in Japan decreased by 13,8%.
Imports down (-3,2%)
With regard to cheap imports, however, in January 2023 one is estimated decrease equal to -3,2%. This decline derives above all from the contraction in energy purchases, which is favorably influenced by the fall in natural gas prices in the gaseous state. On annual basis, purchases recorded a tendential increase of 8,4% in value: an increase of 17,2% for the EU area, a slight decrease for the non-EU area (-0,7%). Volumes are almost stationary (+0,3%).
In January 2023 the trade balance is negative and equal to -4.194 million euros (-6.520 million in January 2022). The energy deficit (-7.760 million) is slightly higher than a year earlier (-7.615 million), while the surplus in the trade of non-energy products increases from 1.095 million to 3.566 million.
