Eurozone, Lagarde: "Unemployment too high and growth too low"

“Growth remains too low and unemployment too high to declare victory over the crisis”. This was stated by the director general of the IMF Christine Lagarde, in a speech in Bilbao, in which she however specified that, despite the difficulties, "the Eurozone and Spain are turning the corner".

“The eurozone – continued Lagarde – is finally emerging from a deep recession. The boost from domestic and external demand is growing and financial conditions are easier. However – concluded the director of the IMF – in many countries unemployment is at levels that cannot be accepted, especially among young people”.
